Jacqui Landrum: 1943-2008

As I wrote on this blog last year, Jacqui Landrum and I weren't friends, due primarily to my own petulance. All the same, I was saddened to hear of her recent passing, and I wish her husband well.

You can read her obituary here.

Two roads diverged in the wood, and I, I took the one that let me hate Bill Landrum with the white hot intensity of a thousand suns.

There are two kinds of people in this world: those who can dance and those who cannot. Stallion and I share prominent membership priviledges in the latter group.

Stallion, I can understand your irritation with peers who expected more grace from you. What I can't understand yet, to this day, is why Languatron, you and I felt moved one late evening to share our rythmic percussive talents with the neighborhood by pounding vigorously and barbarically on light posts in a shopping mall parking lot.

??

Perhaps, now, Jacqui is better qualified to answer that then you.

Languatron? You think JL is Languatron?

He isn't. Languatron is Andrew Fullen, a loon in Chicago I've never met.

I was going to say, Stallion and Languatron do not "hang out".
